next. jon: a fox news alert out of upstate new york where a gunman has opened fire with four firefighters battling an intense inferno, and two of those firefighters are now dead. heather: i'm heather childers, we are in for megyn kelly. now, the firefighters shot while responding to a fire in weber the, new york. the police chief says two of them were killed at the scene. the other two are being treated at a hospital. gregg: our david lee miller is following this story live from our new york studios. >> reporter: here's the timeline of what happened this morning. it was about 5:35 when they received a call there was a house fire. firemen from the west webster fire department, four in total. the first two of those firemen were shot dead at the scene, two others were seriously hurt. later an off-duty police officer from the nearby town of greece, new york, drove by. the gunfire hit his car. he was apparently injured by the shrapnel. now, as for the shooter, authorities say that he apparently was killed by a gunshot, there was some type after a shootout. police arrived, their fi

, in much of upstate new york, they've canceled preemptively the flights out of there for tomorrow and here's why. here is the big snow picture. kind of the snow sweet spot from cleveland through i-90 and in toward buffalo, rochester, syracuse, so it is all lifting to the north. the same storm that we have seen bring feet of snow elsewhere. so going a little bit closer, you can see very dark white is heavy snow, maybe 1, 2 inches an hour. and right along the lakefront, cleveland, erie, buffalo and points down. so i-86, i-90, i-80, i-80 tonight we'll watch the snow lift farther north and then driving perilous conditions tomorrow. really in upstate new york and western new york. and part of the problem is is that we thought thehave these i strong winds. right now indy gusting to 33 miles an hour. as far south as nashville, cleveland, as well, 32-mile-per-hour wind gusts. and that axis of winds is pushing into the northeast for upstate no, late tonight and really balance of tomorrow. in terms of the blizzard, there's the blizzard warning now. it's down to just a few counties. in north central

. upstate new york from this past storm, got slammed with nearly 20 inches of it. meteorologist maria molina is live in the fox extreme weather center. >> harris, good to see you. we got the brand new computer models updated and chances are increasing to see more snow from the storm. eastern porgss of massachusetts, connecticut and the state of rhode island could look at over six inches of snow with areas possibly seeing a foot of snow. so again the chance of seeing more snow from this next storm system is increasing here. it is pulling in a lot of moisture from the gulf of mexico. that is one of the reasons why we think we could see a little more than originally anticipated. right now it is producing snow across areas in chicago, northern parts of the state of indiana that into michigan. on the southern end of the storm system we have showers and thunderstorms in louisiana, mississippi and tennessee. eventually both of these areas will be coming together and moving towards the northeast. i do quickly want to point out between these areas we're actually seeing freezing rain falling early thi

girl could be running out of time. rick folbaum is live in our new york city newsroom with more. >> police say the girl could die in a matter of days unless she is found and taken back to a hospital for treatment. her name is emily bracamonte, she is 11 years old, she has been getting chemo to treat her leukemia for the past month. there have been complications, she developed an infection. doctors had to amputate part of one of her arms and insert a catheter into her heart. she apparently had that catheter in when for some reason her mother norm a removed the iv. dressed her in street clothes and walked her out of the front door of the hospital last wednesday night. the catheter is the biggest certain for doctors. leaving it in too long could lead to another infection, one that could kill her they say. the girl and her mother are american citizens, the girl's mother, louis bracamonte is mexican. he has a green card. neither parent is charged with a crime at this point. police are anxious to find this little girl to get her treatment. there is speculation that the mom took her ou
